"A jersey store people find on their own — built for search, not ads."

01 // Client & Context
A Sri Lankan retailer selling imported football and cricket jerseys, needing an online store that could handle a fast moving, trend driven product catalogue and real customer volume, not just a brochure site.
02 // The Problem
Jersey demand spikes hard around tournaments and new season drops. The client needed a store that could be found in search without paid ads, load fast under traffic, and let non-technical staff manage stock and pricing constantly, since kits rotate in and out every season.
03 // What I Built
A fully responsive e-commerce platform built as two separate Next.js applications: a public storefront and an admin portal, so customer traffic never competes with admin workload. The storefront includes an interactive jersey customizer with live preview for name, number, and patch printing, plus WhatsApp based ordering for a market that prefers chat over checkout forms.
04 // Admin Dashboard & Control
A separate admin portal gives the client real-time order tracking, analytics, and full product management. New kits, pricing, and stock can all be updated without touching code.
05 // Tech Stack
06 // The Result
Built for SEO from the ground up rather than depending on ad spend, the store now draws 3,000+ organic monthly visitors per Google Search Console, handled without downtime or performance issues. It has grown enough that Google Merchant Center reached out inviting the client to connect Google Ads for a Performance Max campaign.
